Can I buy a used retail install disc?? There's a lot of people saying there's no need to buy a new disc for snow leopard 10.6 since it was before Apple used serial numbers that prevented more than 1 install.
Safari For Mac Os X Leopard
If you can't upgrade to a newer operating system, I'm not sure it's really possible to do anything. Ordinarilly, I would recommend you switch web browsers, but Chrome requires snow leopard or later as well, and the version of safari that came with leopard will be outdated at this point as well. While you could try changing LSMinimumSystemVersion in info.plist, it probably won't work, as newer versions of firefox use new functions apple introduced in the operating system.
I've already upgraded my Macbook to Leopard and so far it's working very well. The upgrade went easily and the tools are pretty cool. The ones I liked most are the new Finder that imports the Cover Flow function from iTunes and the new iChat which allows the insertion of images and films. If you haven't upgraded yet, there are some interesting videos I've found that show Leopard's new tools and effects:weshow.com/us/p/20050/mac_os_x_leopard_ichatweshow.com/us/p/20048/mac_os_x_leopard_finderweshow.com/us/p/20052/mac_os_x_leopard_mail
I use a mac mini 4.1 than came with snow leopard I did try out Mountain Lion but found it slowed my computer down too much.I also lost the use of Front row so I went back.I just backed everything up and re en stalled 10.6 with the system discs now everything works fine.
the safari 3 beta works fine on my windows machine. However, on the very same day I installed it, safari 2 on my mac went kaput! It just hangs when I try to launch it. I have read plenty about the new beta online but so far no one has mentioned any new issues with safari 2.. any ideas what may have happened? did they *ha* stop support for mac??? 2ff7e9595c
